Our Mission

🌱 Kona-Inspired Cooking: From the ʻĀina to the ʻOhana

Our inspiration begins with the ʻāina—the land and Kai, the ocean, and all it provides. We honor the rhythm of the seasons, letting the fruits, vegetables, nuts, fish and game of Kona guide our table.
Rooted in traditional Hawaiian cooking, plant medicine, and self-sufficiency, our local chef classes celebrate abundance and intentionality. From forest to plate, nothing is wasted; everything is shared.
Through Foods For Thought, we explore how local ingredients nourish us—mind, body, and spirit. Whether it’s Food for Skin, Food for Wellness, Food for Life, or Food Traditions, we believe food is more than sustenance—it's story, medicine, and movement.
This is more than a recipe. It’s a return to source, a way to build community wellness, and a commitment to mālama ʻāina. Together, we cook with intention, share with love, and grow with purpose.

Our Purpose

We aim to celebrate and utilize our island’s abundance by incorporating, island cooks and chefs, locally grown and seasonal foods into everyday meals, and cultural history of our islands foods. By reconnecting with the land, sea and each other, we nourish not only our bodies but also our communities—one meal at a time.

Kollette Stith: From Food to Family, Farm to Face

Kollette Stith is the co-founder of Mahina Mele Farms & Market and Pure Mana Hawaiʻi Skincare, where the power of the macadamia nut is honored in both nourishment and self-care. 🌿

Since 2005, Kollette and her family have been growing, processing, and preparing nutrient-rich organic macadamia nuts on their Kona farm. With over two decades of hands-on experience, she has explored the many ways macadamia nuts can feed, sustain, and heal — from food to skincare. 🥥

Now, her passion is ready to be shared — one nut, one dish, one serum, and one story at a time. ✨
